Minnesota: Plea in Republican Convention Case

One of two men charged with making and possessing Molotov cocktails during the Republican National Convention in St. Paul has pleaded guilty.

The man, Bradley Crowder, 23, pleaded guilty in Federal District Court in Minneapolis to one count of possession of an unregistered firearm, said David Anderson, a spokesman for the United States attorney’s office.

A plea agreement with a maximum sentence of 46 months was submitted to the court, Mr. Anderson said. Mr. Crowder and another man, David McKay, both from Austin, Tex., were charged with three counts of making and possessing unregistered weapons.

Some evidence in the case was also provided by a third man from Austin, Brandon Darby, who was working as a confidential informant for federal investigators.
